On Thursday, a student at Pennsylvania's West Chester University was allegedly assaulted on campus while volunteering ahead of a Turning Point USA event scheduled for the afternoon. The victim, a TPUSA chapter member, was reportedly punched and spat on. The attacker was arrested and taken into custody by police, according to video footage shared on social media.

Turning Point USA, the nation's largest youth conservative activist organization, wrote about the incident in a post on X and indicated that the student victim would be pressing criminal charges. The alleged attacker has not been publicly identified.

"A TPUSA chapter member at West Chester University - volunteering ahead of today's @tpusastudents event with @ChoooCole - was assaulted on campus. The attacker ran up, spat in his face, and punched him repeatedly. He's okay and is pressing charges. Though the assault itself wasn't captured, the attacker is visible in the videos below," TPUSA wrote in a post on X.

The conservative student group was volunteering outside ahead of their event featuring sex change detransitioner Chloe Cole, a controversial figure among radical leftist gender-identity groups, when the student was reportedly attacked. Video footage posted to X shows police officers chasing down the assailant. The suspect is then seen being escorted out of the property by police in handcuffs.

TPUSA told The Post Millennial that there was a volunteer holding a poster to promote the event when the suspect walked up to spit on the volunteer at the event. As the volunteer moved to avoid the spit, the suspect punched him in the neck, TPUSA added.

Charlie Kirk, the organization's founder, condemned the attack in a post on X and expressed relief that the victim was not significantly injured.

"This is becoming a weekly occurrence," said Kirk. "Pray for our TPUSA students. Reach out to them and encourage them. They are on the frontlines and have so much courage."

Numerous Turning Point USA chapter members and volunteers have been physically assaulted over the past several years on campuses across the nation. Earlier this month, black clad Antifa militants launched an attack on TPUSA students and volunteers at the University of California Davis. The organization was hosting former police officer and TPUSA contributor, Brandon Tatum, when Antifa approached the group, stole gear, and assaulted several people.

"You can tell that campus leftists are becoming desperate. They can see that conservatives are making huge strides with young voters, and it's almost like they're panicking. In this semester we've had a noticeable uptick in violence, in fact it's been the most we've exeprienced in a very long time. A disturbing trend," TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet told TPM.

The event featuring Chloe Cole, who speaks about her gender detransition and the harm of child sex changes, is scheduled to occur at 12 pm on the university's academic quad.
