"You can see where law enforcement kinda either turned a blind eye… or missed things [on Jeffrey Epstein]."
Undercover audio obtained by OMG showed FBI Deputy Senior National Intelligence Officer Rami Hasan saying, “You can see where law enforcement kinda either turned a blind eye… or missed things [on Jeffrey Epstein]." He also said that the situation at the FBI has been a "sh*t show."
“There’s opportunities there… just from, like, I understand, hearing and listening,” he added, in reference to his experience at the agency surrounding the case. The comments from Hassan come as there has been backlash against the Department of Justice surrounding the Epstein case, with much of the focus on Attorney General Pam Bondi.
A memo from the DOJ was made public, which stated that the disgraced financier did commit suicide and that there was "no incriminating 'client list'" that would be used to charge third parties in connection to the child sex crimes committed by Epstein.
Hasan was asked if he thought Epstein had been murdered, to which he responded, "I think he just killed himself… I mean, even the FBI came out and said he killed himself." He also referred to when Bondi gave out binders full of public documents related to the Epstein case to several political figures as a "messy” situation.
In the days following the memo, it has been reported that Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino is considering resigning from his position at the FBI after a clash with Bondi over the release of the Epstein documents. Some reports indicated that FBI Director Kash Patel was also considering leaving his post if Bongino left, but he confirmed on Saturday he would be staying in his position.
Reports have suggested that Bongino has decided that he will leave if Bondi stays in the administration after the fallout from the Epstein case.
