UPDATE 12/23/2018: The PPC have officially created a riding association in 338 ridings. The party has also surpassed 33,800 members, according to a newsletter from Maxime Bernier.

The PPC have released the following information in their end of year newsletter.

Operation 338 EDAs – Mission accomplished!

After only three months, the People’s Party of Canada has achieved its goal of setting up Electoral District Associations in every region of the country! Only a handful of ridings have not yet held their founding meetings, and these are expected to take place in the coming days.
Our regional organizers and volunteers have done a superb job managing this organizational feat. Congratulations to all our new EDA Presidents, Vice Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers, and Directors who were elected on these boards!

With this many ridings and over 30,000 members, the PPC have accomplished what seemed like a gargantuan task, displaying both the capacity of modern campaigns to grow on social media, and the potential energy from some in society to support Bernier's movement.

According to the debate commission, "Parties must either have an elected MP or intend to run candidates in 90 per cent of the ridings, or have won at least four per cent of the vote in 2015 — or at least stand a “legitimate chance” of winning seats in the next vote."

With almost 100% of ridings having an EDA, it is very likely that the PPC will have enough candidates to get into the national debate come 2019.

On top of this, we will now likely see the PPC switch from nation wide-organizing mode, into targeted campaign, with the goal of away a more uneasy voters.

What do you think will happen in 2019? Will the PPC make realizable gains? Who will be the winner or loser as a result?
