Jody Wilson-Raybould reacts to being kicked out of the Liberal caucus

What I can say is that I hold my head high & that I can look myself in the mirror knowing I did what I was required to do and what needed to be done based on principles & values that must always transcend party," said Wilson-Raybould.

Former justice minister Jody Wilson-Raybould took to social media to comment on the recent developments in the SNC-Lavalin affair, since being kicked out of the Liberal Party caucus alongside her long-time friend and supporter, former minister Jane Philpott.

"What I can say is that I hold my head high & that I can look myself  in the mirror knowing I did what I was required to do and what needed to  be done based on principles & values that must always transcend  party," said Wilson-Raybould.

In the latest shocking development, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced earlier today that Wilson-Raybould and Philpott will no longer be part of the Liberal caucus after MPs met to decide their fate.

The decision comes after the former Attorney General released a secret recording of the Clerk of the Privy Council, Michael Wernick, which purported to depict him pressuring Wilson-Raybould into intervening on behalf of SNC-Lavalin.

Due to the decision, neither Philpott nor Wilson-Raybould will be able to run under the Liberal party in the 2019 election.
