The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to the conviction of the man.
Footage of the incident showed that a man appeared to shoot a gun at federal officers as the chaos ensued. Authorities used smoke canisters to disperse the crowd, but it is unclear if anyone was injured, per the LA Times.
The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to the conviction of the man with the gun.
US Attorney Bill Essayli said in a statement on X, “FBI has issued a $50,000 award for information leading to the conviction of an Unknown Subject who appeared to fire a pistol at Federal Law Enforcement Officers near Camarillo. The shooting occurred on 7/10/25 at approximately 2:26pm on Laguna Rd between Wood Rd and Las Posas Rd. Call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).”
Officials discovered that 10 minors who crossed the border illegally were also working on the marijuana farm, eight of whom were unaccompanied minors, according to US Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott. As a result, Scott said that the marijuana farm is under investigation for child labor violations.
Scott was responding to Governor Gavin Newsom, who took issue with the ICE operation at the weed farm. Newsom alleged that President Donald Trump was “scum” because ICE used tear gas and there were minors “crying on the phone because their mother” was taken out of the marijuana farm field.
Glass House Farms responded to the incident on X, “Glass House Farms were visited today by ICE Officials. The company fully complied with agent search warrants and will provide further updates if necessary.”
