After NHS testing in Aberdeenshire, Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, has tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus.

The COVID-19 coronavirus that has been sweeping the world has not spared the Royal family. In a statement released this morning, the palace confirmed that NHS testing has revealed that Prince Charles has contracted the contagion, according to Sky News.

The Prince of Wales is said to have "mild symptoms" and "remains in good health." He has been in Scotland with the Duchess of Cornwall, where they have been self-isolating. She has tested negative for the coronavirus.

The statement from the palace went on to say that "he has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual."

"The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire where they met the criteria required for testing," the statement read.

It is not known from where the Prince contracted the virus, as he has had many public appearances over recent weeks.
