Yorkdale Mall Evacuated After Reports of Shots Fired

Yorkdale Mall, a busy shopping centre in North Toronto is in the process of being evacuated after reports of multiple shots being fired.

The police are currently on scene as the investiagtion continues.

There are no reports of any injuries, and Police are asking people to avoid the area.  The TTC subway is not stopping at Yorkdale station as a result of the ongoing incident.

Early reports from people in the area claim that mall employees and security did well to assist shoppers in the evacuation. No one has been brought into police custody as of yet.

This story breaks as the city of Toronto continues to struggle with a spike in gun-related violence in 2018.
