Video footage of a police chase that took place over the weekend, shows Toronto police chasing down and apprehending a person suspected of robbery. The suspect was carrying a large knife and was near Bathurst and King.

According to a police report, they responded to a “knife point robbery” on Sunday at about 6:09 p.m., close to the Bathurst and King Street area.

Many residents close to the scene were able to capture footage of the incident and watch the police take down from condo buildings.

The footage shows two officers arriving on scene as the suspect attempts to pick up some bags and then proceeds to chase someone as police pull up and pursue the person on foot.

Another video shows the suspect being chased by many cops as a police cruiser runs into him while he continues to hold the knife.

A video taken from another angle shows officers drive straight over the suspect in their cruiser before they apprehend him.

According to witnesses, police attempted to tase the suspect beforehand.

The suspect was injured and transported to hospital after the arrest, according to the Toronto Police Service.
