United States President Donald Trump nominated appeals court judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court Monday night to replace the retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy.

In televised remarks from the East Room of the White House, the president praised what he called Kavanaugh’s “impeccable credentials, unsurpassed qualifications and a proven commitment to equal justice under the law.”

“There is no one in America more qualified for this position, and no one more deserving,” Trump said.

Within moments of announcing his nominee, the following protest occurred outside the White House which truly has made me worried.

Looking at how intense this protests I am left to wonder. What could possibly occur?

Heck, even when Bernie Sanders was on stage he could not be heard over the intense and divided chanting of the crowd.

It almost feels as if regardless of what occurs moving forward, the United States is simply becoming too far divided on key issues to remain united.
