Actor Tom Hanks announced via social media that he and his wife Rita Wilson both have tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus. The pair are currently travelling in Australia, and reportedly began to feel "a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches," Hank told followers on Instagram.

He went on to say that "Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive."

Tom and Rita will be following doctors' orders. They will be "tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires."

He offered a one-day-at-a-time philosophy, and promised to keep the world updated on their condition.
