The Left Losing Minds as Top Fortnite Gamer Refuses to Stream with Women

Amidst the whole #MeToo and Big Tech censorship controversies that have adversely affected countless lives in popular environments such as the free press, especially when the alleged actions are actually fallacious, one person in the prospering market of the gaming industry refuses to be “inappropriately touched” (get it?) by any type of allegations or conspiracy against him.

Tyler Blevins, who goes by his gamer name “Ninja”, is one of the world’s most popular Fortnite players, paid-Twitch personality and gaming streamer, at only 26-years old.  Having played the game, I can assert that Fortnite is a battle-royale-style video game where players float down onto a mapped area and kill each other with a variety of different weapons.  Very similarly to its competitor, Player’s Unknown Battleground, or PUBG, the last standing player (or team for co-op play) of the game is the winner. PUBG and Fortnite differ slightly in their mechanics in that PUBG enables players take possession of vehicles to kill players and Fornite players have an entirely new feature where they can build fortresses to defend themselves from other players, hence the “fort” in the game’s title.

As per the Daily Wire, Players like Ninja usually stream their games on the popular website called Twitch, which is a channel dedicated to streaming live content.  Along with selling advertisements over his Twitch channel, endorsements, tournaments, and personal appearances, Ninja is considered to be among the top-paid professional e-sports players, acquiring well into the seven figures range.

Now, reading this might get you to ponder on the the fact that Ninja would not want to play with female gamers, but this could not be further from the truth.  Blevins is so neurotically anxious about being unfairly accused of some form of harassment that he refuses to stream with women.

The player, acknowledging his own success, does not want to jeopardize his career with any type of negative feminist backlash, stating:

“While I understand some people have implied my views mean I have something against playing with women, I want to make clear the issue I’m addressing is online harassment, and my attempt to minimize it from our life.”

Blevins, in his comment, referencing his wife, clearly does not have an issue playing video games with women, nor is he against the equality of both biological sexes, rather, he merely refuses to be harassed by any unwarranted accusations.  In reinforcing this ideal, he even admits that any form of romantic dialogue can be interpreted as unwanted, problematic and even career-ending:

“[E]ven if there’s a hint of flirting, that is going to be taken and going to be put on every single video and be clickbait forever.”

The issue would inevitably compel negative attention towards the Fortnite-star as feminists have already thrown temper-tantrums, outraged at Blevins since his statement.  The more popular social justice warrior female nerd website The Mary Sue takes the cake with their hysteria, comparing the player’s situation to that of Vice President Mike Pence’s.  Pence has previously stated that he does not want to dine with alone with other women, and in the same vein, since Ninja is refusing to stream with women, he is inherently oppressing the female gamers who do not get access to his 10 million plus person fanbase.

Digging their own grave, The Mary Sue journalist added:

“By refusing to play with female streamers, he may feel like he’s staying out of things. But in reality, he’s only reinforcing the idea that female streamers should be avoided, that they come with drama attached, and that there is an inherent sexualization when playing with them.”

This type of rhetoric, calling masculinity toxic, and accusing men of unfitting behaviour is a demonstration of precisely why Ninja does not want to stream with women.

Blevins does not mind the backlash though.  On March 14, 2018, the player successfully decimated Twitch’s record for most concurrent viewers when the world’s most popular Canadian music artist Drake advertised on Twitter that he was joining Ninja’s gamer party on Fortnite.  American rap artist Travi$ Scott and Pittsburgh Steelers football player, wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster joined their game as well.

Success and fame for the young gamer is indisputable.  Let’s hope it stays that way and it is not ruined by bigotry.

Keep up with the insane hilarity and more at The Post Millennial.
