Sophie Gregoire Trudeau has officially recovered from the coronavirus.

“I am feeling so much better and have received the all clear from my physician and Ottawa Public Health,” said Trudeau in a Facebook post.

Bonjour mes chers amis, Canadiens et alliés de partout, Je voulais vous donner des nouvelles : je me sens tellement...

Trudeau had been diagnosed with the disease on March 12, and had symptoms described as "mild." She started experiencing symptoms after returning from a speaking event in the United Kingdom.

Trudeau also took to social media to update Canadians on his wife's situation.

“Sophie is feeling great. My family is doing well, my kids and myself, … we’re all doing well... But like I said, we’ve asked people to stay home and work from home as much as possible, not go out if they don’t have to and that certainly is something that we’re doing and encouraging.”

Canada currently has just over 5,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Saturday.
