The first semifinal happened today, sending Belgium to the 3rd place play-off, and sending France to the Final.

This be France’s 2nd ever World Cup Final, the only previous time being at France 1998, when they became world champions.

Belgium will go to their 2nd ever 3rd place play-off and will attempt to place 3rd at the World Cup for the first time in their history.

The other semifinal will kick-off at 2pm (Eastern Time) tomorrow.

The last and only other time that France made it to the Final was at France 1998.

France beat Belgium once again, keeping their perfect record of World Cup meetings between these two sides. It was fairly evenly matched, with French making very efficient use of possession. Belgium dominated the game for periods of time in both halves.

None of the players will be suspended for the final matches.
