M103 isn’t about Islamophobia; it’s about changing Canada

The report conveniently leaves out the fact that Islamophobia, comes in fourth in the total number of hate crimes after Christians, Jews, and the LGBTQ2+ community.

The Federal Government recently published a report following the passage of M-103 last year.

The report entitled “Taking Action Against Systemic Racism and Religious Discrimination Including Islamophobia,” makes few recommendations on fighting Islamophobia.

The report calls for a national action plan on racism and religious discrimination, better data collection on hate crimes and cultural sensitivity training for law enforcement, all of which would be used to attack Christians and Conservatives.

In this report, the writers state that January 29th should “be designated as a National Day of Remembrance and Action on Islamophobia, and other forms of religious discrimination.”

This report comes after demands by National Council of Canadian Muslims (also known as CAIR-Canada, an organization with known ties to the Muslim Brotherhood).

The report conveniently leaves out the fact that Islamophobia, comes in fourth in the total number of hate crimes after Christians, Jews, and the LGBTQ2+ community.

If they chose to adopt this “Day of Action on Islamophobia” they will be allowing a vocal but tiny percentage of the Canadian population to dictate and enforce their thoughts and beliefs.

While the report title includes the phrase “Taking Action against Religious Discrimination” I must ask, does that include Christian Canadians?

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his government have chosen to actively attack and punish Christians who disagree with abortion and LGBTQ rights even though the checkbox on the forms to apply for Canada Summer Jobs Funding violates the average Christians freedom of conscience.

Tell me, Mr Trudeau, do you see the hypocrisy?

At a town hall event in Hamilton, Ontario last month, Justin Trudeau responded to a question over the changes to the summer jobs program.

The Prime Minister commented: “On the contrary, so many of the great community organizations that we have working incredibly hard are faith-based across this country, and it’s an important and wonderful part of our society,”

He went on to say that, “an organization that has the explicit purpose of restricting women’s rights by removing rights to abortion and the right for women to control their bodies is not in line with where we are as a government, and quite frankly where we are as a society.”

Forgive me, but doesn’t that quote just go against the report that was released earlier today?

Why, yes it does.

It is disgraceful that bigotry against Christians and Jews goes unpunished while if you dare speak out against Islam, you’re punished and charged.

The attack on Christian’s rights to freedom of conscience is abhorrent. How can a Prime Minister stand up and attack Canadians for being “Islamophobic” and while saying that we need to be more “tolerant” as a society, and then turn around and strike a large section of the Canadian public who are Christian or Catholic?

Isn’t it disgraceful that our supposedly Catholic Prime Minister is attacking his religion and many other religions that believe that abortion is wrong?

Regardless of what side of the fence you are on, you should be outraged at these changes.

As a Conservative with strong Libertarian views on social issues, I am outraged, offended and disgusted with the federal government’s attempts to trample on the civil liberties of Canadians, this is an act of tyranny and prejudice against a significant portion of the Canadian public.

Unlike Justin Trudeau, I understand the anger that Canadians have towards M-103 and the changes to the Canada Summer Jobs program.

I want to know whether or not Justin Trudeau will ensure that our civil liberties are protected and respected?

I want to know why he is consistently condemning and attacking Canadians as being supposedly racist or Islamophobic for standing up for their Canadian values?

Canada is our home; this is our country. These are our values. Please do not change the fabric of our society.
