The heading of a recent North99.org article reads
“Doug Ford’s Parliament Assistant For Education Opposes Sex-Ed, Gay Marriage, Supports Literal Interpretation of Bible”
The article is disputing the appointment of Sam Oosterhoff, the 20-year-old MPP for Niagara West.
The article alleges Sam has aligned himself with “The religious far right” without anything to support it.

No, folks, he’s simply a religious guy, no more or less than any other religious individual in Canada. The left seems to suggest anyone with religious values nowadays is “Far Right’
The article then goes on to say that “Far-right religious fundamentalists” argue there wasn’t enough consultation on Ontarios revised sex ed curriculum.
4000 parents out of 7,000,000 were to be consulted. only 1638 actually responded, less than half of those engaged. That’s a whopping .00023% of parents speaking for the whole.
Apparently now you are far right if you think .00023% isn’t enough.
Nowhere in the article does it elaborate on what Sam’s views actually are. Sam has never stated his personal views on gay marriage. The article is filled with speculation. Speculation that is based on some social media posts from when Oosterhoff was 16-17 years old. Think about when you were a teenager. I know I held some uninformed views back then, only to have them change as I gained life experience.
The only reason Sam Oosterhoff is being targeted is for his religion, and as a means to smear the right. Apparently nothing is off limits. We should be lining up to engage young people like Sam who are engaged in politics, right or left instead of attacking them.
It would be fair to question his experience, but this article is nothing more than the weaponization of sexuality in politics being perpetrated by the far left.
