It has been revealed that Lindsay Shepherd, the former graduate student at the centre of the Wilfrid Laurier University free speech scandal, is now being sued by the very same professors who fabricated false claims of transphobia against her and subjected her to an extra-legal interrogation.

According to a tweet by Shepherd, Nathan Rambukkana and Herbert Pimlott are suing her as part of a third-party claim in response to Dr. Jordan Peterson’s lawsuit against Laurier University and individuals involved.

Hey does everyone remember @Laurier profs Rambukkana and Pimlott, who brought me into a discliplinary meeting (which I recorded) where they accused me of transphobia & threatening trans ppl & breaking the law becuz I played a clip from public television?

They're suing me! pic.twitter.com/x0y4dAbULC

Back in 2017, Shepherd was a teaching assistant working under Professor Rambukkana when she showed a widely disseminated television clip from The Agenda with Steve Paikin that featured Peterson discussing the contentious issues of gendered pronouns and compelled speech.

Rambukkana, Pimlott, and Adria Joel, a gender activist and university bureaucrat, then concocted a plan to interrogate Shepherd and find a way to punish her for the high crime of discussing “problematic” ideas in a university classroom.

Thankfully, the interrogation was recorded by Shepherd and the fabricated charges and malice of the three inquisitors were revealed to the world. Global News was the first to release details, and the full audio recording was released by the National Post in November of 2017.

But this provides a hint. Even though it is Rambukkana and Pimlott who compared Peterson to Hitler, called him an alt-right adjacent figure who doxxes his own students, etc., apparently I am "solely" attributable for the damages pic.twitter.com/dpk6XI9ZIe

In the recording, Peterson was compared to Hitler and was an “Alt-Right” figure, according to the supervisors. Shepherd was reprimanded for not disavowing Peterson and falsely accused of violating university policy and breaking the Ontario Human Rights Code.

When the full truth came out Rambukkana publicly apologized to Shepherd. So did the president of the university.

After the scandal, Shepherd founded the Laurier Society for Open Inquiry, an organization that sought to bring speakers with unpopular or challenging perspective to the Laurier campus. This led to further controversy as the progressive activists ramped up their attacks against Shepherd and her free speech activism.

Shepherd has launched a workplace lawsuit against Wilfrid Laurier University while Peterson is suing for defamation

Shepherd tweeted later in the same thread that she has not yet seen the statement of claim, therefore some specifics regarding the suit are not yet known.

It seems preposterous that a group of progressive ideologues, all in positions of power at a university, could target a student, fabricate claims against her, subject her to a Kafkaesque secret trial, ruin her life, and then, when busted, publicly apologize to her only to turn around a year later and sue her for damages caused to them.
