I think we can all agree that 2017 has been a pretty crazy year for news. Whether it’s the ongoing NAFTA negotiations or Bill & Justin’s Excellent Ethics Adventure we here at The Post Millennial have you covered.

We stand by our joint goals of giving our readers a reasonable alternative to the mainstream media outlets in Canada and abroad.

Here are just a few of the biggest stories that we had the opportunity to bring to our readers over the past year.

The Rebel Scandal

The Rebel, a far-right media outlet where analysts like Lauren Southern got their start, saw a wave of controversy followed by a mass exodus of some of their most popular commentators including cofounder Brian Lilley and eventually led to the website losing their domain provider. The situation escalated when an ex-staffer recorded a conversation between himself and co-founder Ezra Levant without the latter’s knowledge. It leads to claims of bribery, extortion, fraudulent reporting, and blackmail.

The Las Vegas Massacre

On the night of October 1st, 2017, Stephen Paddock opened fire on an unsuspecting crowd at a packed music festival on the Las Vegas Strip resulting in the deadliest mass shooting in United States history. The motivation for this heinous act are still unknown, although we speculated one possible theory as well as providing commentary on the entire gun control debate. Our condolences go out to all of the families and friends affected this holiday season by the immense loss on that horrific night.

Trump-Russia Probe

Throughout 2017, questions about whether the Trump administration colluded with the Kremlin to secure a victory in the presidential election has been on the front page of every news outlet from here to Siberia. Whether it’s former campaign chair Paul Manafort’s home being raided by the FBI, or former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn pleading guilty to perjury.

The fact that the smoking gun (The so-called Russian Dossier) was paid for by the DNC and questions about former FBI director James Comey’s credibility the roller coaster that is the ongoing investigation doesn’t seem to have an end in sight. We will continue to bring you developments in the investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller as the story unfolds.

What’s more, we are eager to continue bringing you the news and opinions concerning Canadian society and politics.

Most of all thank you to everyone who liked, shared and most importantly took the time to read our articles and watch our videos since we launched. Your support is what allows us to make all of this a reality.
