Poll: 70% Of Canadian’s Believe Trudeau Has No Clear Plan To Deal With Asylum Seekers

According to a Dart Insight Poll, 70% of Canadians believe the Prime Minister has no clear plan to deal with the rapidly increasing number of asylum seekers and illegal economic migrants entering the country.

Chart From Dart Insights.

This is extremely interesting and likely a death kneel for the federal Liberal party.

The large one-sidedness of this issue could very well serve as one of the main factors in the coming election, the same way the carbon tax and corruption where used as carry-all policies to brand the Liberals as too incompetent for another term in the recent Ontario election.

Poll Methodology

The survey was conducted among 5,357 randomly selected Canadian adults who are members of the Online panel between June 8 and 13, 2018.

The results have been weighted by education, age, gender, and region (and in Quebec, language) to match the population, according to Census data.

This is to ensure the sample is representative of the entire adult population of Canada. Discrepancies in or between totals are due to rounding.

The precision of this online poll is measured using a Bayesian Credibility Interval. In this case, the poll for a weighted base of 5,357 respondents is accurate to within +/ – 1.5 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
