A source has confirmed to Global News that the Trudeau Liberals and opposition parties have a tentative deal in place.

The House of Commons is about to be recalled, according to a multiple sources.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Trudeau walked back controversial measures which were leaked, including sweeping powers to spend, borrow, and tax without parliamentary approval until December 21.

In a tweet, Trudeau confirmed that the new bill would not include those powers. The Conservatives, meanwhile, wanted more than just that part of the bill cut.

The Singh-led New Democrats also called for the Liberals to "drop what we don't agree on" and "focus on what we were sent here to do."

With tensions high across the country amidst the coronavirus pandemic that has caused Canadians to lose their jobs and remain quarantined, the hashtag #PassTheDamnBill trended on Twitter. Users vocally pressured party leaders to come to a consensus for the good of the country.

This is a breaking news article and will be updated.
