It was only a few weeks ago that a gunman walked into a synagogue in Pittsburgh to massacre Jews. But it seems like the “together against Antisemitism” movement has already unraveled.
Yesterday, a barrage of over 300 rockets and mortar fire rained down on Israel from the Gaza strip, the largest single day attack in modern history. Over 50 civilians are now in hospitals across Israel.
Was any of this on the news? Of course not. As far as the media is concerned, the story started when Israel fired back. And that was truer today than any other, just look at this tweet from NBC news:
Israel launched a barrage of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip Monday after a rocket from the militant-controlled enclave hit an Israeli bus.
Health authorities in Gaza said three Palestinians were killed in the Israeli strikes, and six injured. https://t.co/jEVs7zZiaw

The new fashionable antisemitism
This is the new fashionable antisemitism: talk about the violence from the Israeli military, list the Palestinian casualties, “forget” to mention the Israeli casualties that precipitated it, then show a picture of graphic violence even though it was caused by Hamas.
This type of selective reporting helps build the false narrative that Israel is the aggressor, even though the destruction of Israel through violent Jihad is in the charter of the official government of Gaza. Are the journalists who enable this reporting “anti-Semites”? No of course not, they are “Anti-Zionists”.
What is Anti-Zionism? Well it has all of the conspiracy, Jew-hatred and blood libels of Antisemitism, but it has a brand-new name, so you can go around your college campus proudly fighting for “Social Justice”.
If you think I am being flippant or hyperbolic, remember Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn once said of his “friends” in Hamas (yes, he said this, he also called them his brothers) that “that the UK should be ashamed that they are called a terrorist group when they are fighting for peace and social justice”.
Because nothing says peace and social justice like the annihilation of 6.5 million Jews through violent Jihad to build an Islamic Caliphate. Again, it is not just me who says this, all of this is in Hamas’ actual charter.
NBC’s selective reporting
To make things even worse for the media’s go to narrative, there was a fatality on the bus pictured. Just prior to being hit with an anti-tank missile, the bus was carrying 50 Israeli soldiers. The soldiers had just left the bus, but the driver, himself a Palestinian citizen of Hebron was unfortunately killed.
There is a reason why you won’t hear about this death on the news. If they stay quite long enough it will help when they want to say things like “no Israelis have died so far”, which would be technically true.
Plus, it would be hard for those who want to scream about “apartheid” to learn that in Israel, a Muslim Palestinian would have a good job where he was trusted with the lives of their soldiers and citizens. Best to avoid such topics, as it may case an increase of complexity to the issue and critical thinking.
Instead we are left with selective half-truths to help build the easy narrative of the evil Zionists. There is mention of the blockade, it’s not properly reported as a weapons-blockade. Supplies are allowed to enter Gaza after they have been screened by the Israelis for weapons.
The Gaza weapons blockade
Why is there a weapon blockade? A brief history of Gaza: in 2005 Israel gives all of the Gaza Strip to they Palestinians. Israel forcibly removes all the Jews from Gaza and provides the Gazans with infrastructure, green houses and an election.
Gazans burn down the green houses and elect the terrorist group Hamas to office. Hamas declares war and never-ending Jihad on Israel. Israel institutes weapons blockade. If anyone is curious, no there have not been any elections since.
The failure to accurately report all of this helps far-left activists spread the lie that “Gaza is an open-air prison under siege”.
A siege is a military tactic where on side prevents another from getting food and supplies in order to force a surrender or disarmament. Nothing could be further from the truth since it is Israel itself that supplies Gaza with most of its food and resources. Does any serious person really think that Gaza could survive a 13 year siege?

The only thing that ever gets reported is when someone in Gaza dies in an airstrike. Will they mention that prior to airstrikes the Israeli military does “flyer bombing”, which is when they drop literal flyers on an area indicating an incoming strike to give time for civilians to leave.
Or will they talk about the warning robo-calls that the Israeli military make to an area in case the Palestinians are inside and fail to see the warning. Again, that detail fails to make the news.
It would be one thing if the media just ignored this conflict like Yemen or Balochistan, and did propaganda for no one. But it is telling where and when certain publications pretend to care about human rights.
The hypocrisy of the “anti-hate” crowd
This is the new antisemitism. In the 19th century anti-Semites spread conspiracies about a Jewish cabal that would take the blood of young children in The Protocols of the Elder of Zion.
Today NBC and the like report that innocent protestors are killed, even when Hamas says that they were militants belonging to their organization.
Prior to the Holocaust there was “Kristallnacht”, the night of broken glass, when Nazi supporters painted Jewish owned stores with the Star of David marking them, then riots of destruction broke out where these stores and synagogues were smashed and burned.
Today, we have “BDS activists” going around stores marking different products with the Star of David warning others not to buy from the Jews- sorry Zionists. When Israel defends itself or has its capital recognized, synagogues from Sweden to New York are smashed and burned, to the deafening silence of the so-called “anti-racists”.
As Jews we live in a strange time were the acts or Neo-Nazis are almost more comforting then this propaganda nonsense, because at least people believe us that when white men do Nazi salutes and talk about killing Jews, it’s antisemitism.
However, when the leaders of the Women’s March openly endorse Louis Farrakhan, a man who relishes his comparison to Hitler and has a long history of calling Jews “satanic” and “termites”, we are gas-lite and any criticism of antisemitism is met with denial and accusations that we are racists.
Today’s anti-Zionists are the reason Zionism was needed and is still needed today.
Zionism, the right of self-determination of the Jewish people in the State of Israel, because what has happened before wants to happen again, and in this world, you can never rely on others to solve your problems for you.
This is why Israel must be there, since Neo-Nazis, Islamists and Anti-Zionists will always be there to push for a new Holocaust and something must stand in its way so it does not happen again. Never again.
