Well folks, it’s time for your feel-good story of the week.
Darin Hodge, manager at The Teahouse in Stanley Park, Vancouver has been fired!
Darin refused service to a man simply for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat this past Tuesday.
While the man was seated awaiting his service, Darin proceeded to turn his SJW dial-up to new heights. He confronted the man, demanding he remove his hat or that he would be refused service. The man chose to leave.

Darin is unrepentant for his actions. In a statement he proclaimed “I stand by my decision. The MAGA hat has come to symbolize racism, bigotry, Islamophobia, misogyny, white supremacy and homophobia.”
“Absolutely No Regrets” he stated.
Sure bud… You just suggested that anyone who supports the MAGA movement is a racist, Islamophobic, homophobic, misogynistic, white supremacist bigot. Trust me when I say, you will have regrets about this.
This is a shining example of something we need to see more of in society, i.e. consequences.
Everytime one of these extremist narcissists acts out of pure emotion, on the right or the left, society needs to come down on them like a mousetrap. Brutal and fast. This discrimination, this use of such awful terms to describe someone with different political views just needs to stop.
Consequences are how we achieve and maintain the balance in society. A healthy society depends on them.
Situations such as these, give me hope for the future. Here’s to hopefully seeing more consequences in our fracturing society.
Update: The manager has been fired.
