Waterloo Region schools have issued 6,129 suspension notices on behalf of Region of Waterloo Public Health.

The suspensions are for students who don't have their immunization records up to date.

Parents will have up until March 26th to obtain or update their child's immunization records and avoid a suspension.

In Fall of last year over 9,000 suspension orders were sent out for students who had not been vaccinated.

The suspensions can last up to 20 days.
